Collective Mending Sessions - Terrain Exhibition Resident: Catherine Reinhart
Join current Terrain Exhibition Resident Catherine Reinhart Sunday, August 8 from 1-4pm for #thecollectivemendingsessions. The Collective Mending Sessions is a socially engaged workshop centered around collaboratively mending abandoned quilts.
Since 2017, Reinhart has been facilitating these workshops which cultivate care for cloth and community through the meditative practice of mending. Workshop duration is 2-3 hours, includes basic instruction in mending and textile care, along with discussion centered around the question, “How do we MEND our communities?”.
Registration encouraged.
