What We Kept: call for participants

June 08, 2022 by Terrain Exhibitions

This week we are introducing one of our 2022 residents Millicent Kennedy (she/they). Check out their call for participants below and thru the link in our bio.

Hi collectors of all kinds! Millicent Kennedy @Millicentkennedystudios is looking for participants to be part of her project "What We Kept". Participants are asked to donate an item they have kept for some time, be it because it holds memories, or you can imagine a time when you might need it, or another reason entirely. To participate it is just required that you are ready to let go of it, and tell me why you kept it. These donated materials and their stories will be used by the artist to create a series of new quilted artworks to be continued during an upcoming residency with @terrainexhibitions. The stories collected from this process will also eventually become a book by the same name. To submit your donated item and story see the “What We Kept” google form linked in bio and below
