Daphne's Escape
Daphne's Escape takes inspiration from the myth of Apollo and Daphne. In the tale, Daphne escapes Apollo's unwanted attention by being turned into a tree by her father. In my re-telling, Daphne is seeking refuge in nature by having the ability to leap into nature. In times of chaos and uncertainty, nature can be a place of escape and answers.

Provisional
Provisional: Constructed from recycled corrugated cardboard arranged across the lawn, Provisional introduces fragile partitions into the landscape. These fragmented forms suggest walls or fencing, yet their impermanence resists permanence and certainty. Neither architecture nor ruin, they a state of becoming-temporary boundaries that invite us to reconsider how space is shaped, divided, and experienced within the natural terrain.

Riparia
Projected onto the exterior wall of the Geneva Public Library, Riparia blends naturalistic imagery—local wildlife, riverbanks, and light phenomena—with digital manipulation using TouchDesigner. Created through self-guided experimentation, it combines original video footage with iPhone LiDAR scans of natural scenes, generating painterly, dimensional textures. Rooted in the Fox River Valley and made with widely available tools and a hands-on approach, this project transforms familiar scenes into surreal moving images, inviting viewers to reconsider the relationship between nature, transformation, and technology.

627 DeConstructed
627 DeConstructed emerges from collaboration with the Pomaro family, transforming fragments of their historic home into a sculpture that honors both memory and change. Architectural elements—shapes, textures, and colors—are reimagined to reflect the home’s quiet history while resonating with the present. This work holds space for personal and collective narratives, where the intimate story of one family expands outward, connecting to broader themes of resilience, transformation, and the passage of time.

Possibility
My goal is to inspire those who see my work to look more carefully at the world around them, to discover beauty in the imperfect and design in everything we see. I like creating art to capture, interpret and re-present beauty as I see it. I want the viewer to have a physical emotional reaction to the piece, just as I do when a work is done. When someone views it, it keeps on changing according to the state of mind of whoever is looking at it.

The Dialogue in You
This piece invites a moment of internal conversation about the future of our river. As the community stands at a crossroads—whether to remove the dam or preserve it—we each carry a current of values, memories, and hopes. “Dialogue in You” asks not what the right answer is, but how we arrive at it. Through reflection, we become part of the landscape we shape.

Pollinator House
The goal for this project is to encourage more people in our neighborhood to plant native flowers and teach visitors about the importance of providing native gardens for our local pollinators. The artist decorated the Pollinator House in orange and pink to attract attention. People, like pollinators, are often drawn to bright colors. The tree (a kind of giving tree) holds hand crafted seed packets decorated by Aurora University students that are filled with milkweed seeds. Visitors are encouraged to take a free seed packet and plant them! Planting milkweed in the Fox Valley area of Illinois supports the survival of monarch butterflies, which rely on milkweed as the sole host plant for their caterpillars. Habitat loss has drastically reduced milkweed populations, threatening monarch migration. Native milkweed also benefits local ecosystems by supporting pollinators like bees. It’s low-maintenance, drought-tolerant, and enriches biodiversity in gardens and natural areas. Encouraging its growth helps restore ecological balance and contributes to crucial conservation efforts in the region.
