Plants are not alone in absorbing important sustenance from their environment. The human spirit is nourished through threads of interconnections to others within our community, as well. Threads of caring- and in this case, threads that share the joy of making- create an environment in which we can live and thrive together. Given from the heart of the maker, public art offers the community an invitation to stop, absorb, and connect.
Pod structures fascinate me- the details are astonishing! I enjoyed hand-building individual pod pieces of white English porcelain, then stacking them atop a salvaged wood plinth.
