CA53776V2.gallery is an exhibition space on the dashboard of a 2007 Ford Ranger. Expanding on a cultural understanding of the dashboard as a place of public display, CA53776V2.gallery presents contemporary artistic practices that explore intimacy, touch, and craft on, in, and around the American road space. This project was initiated during the Covid-19 pandemic while the Ranger sat largely unused. California's stay-at-home order positioned the truck's passenger cab as a glass vitrine, perpetually parked on a residential block in Santa Barbara, California. This ongoing experiment continues as pandemic restrictions lift.

Starting in late September 2021, CA53776V2.gallery will present it's second exhibition, including work from Imin Yeh, Naomi Nakazato, Kevin Clancy, Tamara Becerra Valdez, Adam Milner, and Nick Lowe. Viewable daily from dawn to dusk, a single artists' work is on view at any given time. The display rotates whenever the truck is moved, most frequently for street cleaning (Wednesdays on the odd side of the street, Thursdays on the even side) and occasionally for trips to the grocery store.
