A Proper Anguish seeks to address notions of depression, anxiety, despair, and despondency outside the American psychiatric medical model and rather, as cultural and social phenomena experienced within our collective and rapidly changing environment. It strives to bring depression out of the depths of individual defectiveness and into the light of public discourse as a site for problem solving and healing.
