Working from three separate texts written by Judith Brotman, Kurt Peterson and Ella Wijt have poetically transcribed them onto and performed them to the diverse foliage of Rumah Tangga--their home and artist-run space.    The texts include a short memoir, a set of dreams experienced by the foliage, and an invented language created in hopes of evoking a response from the leaves.

Message In a Bottle: A Three-Part Opera for the Foliage of Rumah Tangga is both a text and a performance piece that takes place across generations and continents and emphasizes the profoundly generative impact of shared stories.
