Longing
Language is an essential instrument that keeps people connected to their roots and through which one can communicate with those who speak the same language. Particularly for immigrants and people who live, permanently or temporarily, outside of their native land, finding individuals who speak their mother tongue can be heartwarming. This work is a visual manifestation of my Persian language in public places. I feel joy whenever I recognize a familiar element from my culture in public spaces here in the US, and through representation, I want to create the same feeling for other people who may recognize this language. That is my interpretation of Mycelium Connection.
