Romanticized in the 20th century as a place where vacationers revel for a summer retreat, our Camp is grounded in the storied history of the Indiana Dunes as a place of evolution where humans coexist with nature, one another, and industry that nearly decimated this rare ecosystem. Our tent-like structure is a reminder of the native peoples, early settlers and environmentalists who sheltered here. Intentionally exaggerated, and playful at first glance, discarded toys, clothing and household cast-offs are woven into a construction intended to bring awareness to the rare natural beauty surrounding us and our responsibility as stewards.
