According to statistics compiled by the Brady Campaign to End Gun Violence, every day 23 children and teens (1-17) are shot in the United States. Among those, 8 are shot unintentionally – many by bullets which pass through the walls of their homes.
Flag comprised of a vintage crib blanket backed with yellow (caution, yield) baby flannel and vintage floral fabric lettering hand-embroidered to read, ‘Every Body Is Somebody’s Baby’. Naturally worn areas have been transformed through visible mending into bullet hole fracture patterns. Front includes hand embroidered red (danger, stop) rifle sight pattern at center with brass pistol casings throughout.
